Requirements

• We seek unpublished poems and warmly invite contributors to submit multiple pieces, ideally your strongest and most resonant work.
• Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us immediately if your poem is accepted elsewhere.
• By submitting your work, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Submission Guidelines available on this page at the time of submission.

How to Submit

• Please send your submission as a Word document to: 
  contact@aubades.org
• Include a brief note with your submission that
  a) Tells us briefly about yourself
  b) Explains how your work aligns with the Journal’s themes

Call for Poems

We are now accepting submissions for the first issue of Aubades. The call for poems is open from September through December 2025.

Response Time

We review all submissions with gratitude, but publication is selective and follows a careful review process. If you do not hear from us within two months, please assume that we were unable to include your work. We warmly encourage you to continue submitting in the future.

Honorarium

Each contributor whose work is selected will receive an honorarium of 50 Canadian dollars, regardless of the number of poems accepted. This modest honorarium is an expression of our gratitude for your creative work.

Rights & Copyright

By submitting to Aubades, contributors grant Aubades.org the right to publish their work online and in archival formats. Copyright remains with the contributors.
